So, go out and rent a great movie and work on setting up the great ambience at home. Dim the lights, pop some popcorn, and set up some comfortable chairs or a couch. Your date might even prefer staying home for the movie since you can stretch your legs out and pause the movie for restroom breaks. And, it will cost you a fraction of the price.
Take a Coffee Break
Some of the best times getting to know someone are spent casually sipping coffee together at your favorite café. Take the pressure off the date and just relax with one another over coffee – you will likely find that you learn a great deal about your date during one of these coffee breaks.
Take a Walk
A walk in the park can be a great way to get a little exercise while getting to know one another a little better. Let the gorgeous scenery add to the romance as you stroll along the ground together. If you live by the beach, go swimming, hit the waves, or play a little beach Frisbee. Or, put together a group of people to play other sports you enjoy, such as volleyball or softball. You likely have the equipment already. So, put it to good use as you get some great exercise while getting to know each other better.
Tour the City
Another great way to spend time together is to hop on a tour bus in your city. Learn about your city together and take a “mini-vacation” for two without paying the high costs of airfare and hotel costs.
Screamin’ for Ice Cream
Another inexpensive yet fun date is to head over to your local ice cream parlor. Giggle with each other as you decide what toppings to add to your sundae. Then, share it with one another – what could be more intimate than feeding each other spoonfuls of your favorite ice cream and toppings?
With a little imagination and creativity, you can easily come up with a great date itinerary that does not cost you an arm and a leg!
